The Man With A Plan

Almost two years ago, I worked with a couple from San Francisco, who dubbed me the #manwithaplan.

When I moved to Paris nearly 5 years ago, I wouldn’t say that was the case - there was a general plan, but I was focused on moving to a place I had only visited for a week, leaving my life in the States, my new relationship, a new language, a new culture… well, you get the point. The move was exciting & the reason for it was even more so (falling in love with a fashion designer/artist— his work featured below). I spent the first six months exploring France and other European destinations but as the celebrations started to fade and real life kicked in, it hit me - “What do I do now?”

I had planned events and weddings in New York & Los Angeles so that seemed like the natural path but doing so in foreign place was a whole different ball game (kind of like football in France)!

Since we all know how much a picture is worth I decided that a photo shoot was in order: it would provide me with the “thousand words” I needed to show my strengths in floral design and event planning. After multiple sessions of social network stalking and Google searching, I sat down with Audrey Neracoulis of Le Secret D’Audrey. I instantly fell in love with her work. Not only was her talent clear, but she knows a thing or two about Parisian life and work. Her insight was valuable but her willingness to work with me on my first ever Paris-based photoshoot really set things in motion.

Nearly a year after “leavin’ on a jet plane,” Audrey sent me an email - ”Style Me Pretty loves the shoot and will feature it on their blog!” So thats where this story begins…

This, of course, is the abridged version that omits the fact that not everyone who lives in Paris wears Chanel or carries an Hermes Birkin Bag — I know, sad day.  It also fast forwards through the trials & tribulations (including the literal blood, sweat and tears). Rather than share these stories, my focus here will be to share with you what we do now (yes “we” have a team now) and what I have spent nearly 4 years building.  Almost 50 weddings later we are creating specially crafted & customized once-in-a-lifetime memories for brides and grooms from around the globe.

Welcome to my adventures as a  top wedding planner/destination event planner and florist reporting live from Paris (and anywhere else our clients wish to throw a fab party)!

With Love & Gratitude,
